Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and LocalMein ("we", "us") for using the LocalMein app, storefront links and website (the "Service"). By using the Service you accept these terms and ourPrivacy Policy.

What LocalMein is

LocalMein is a platform where independent sellers, such as home bakers, kirana stores, salons, plumbers and tutors, publish a storefront, and people nearby discover them, contact them, place orders or book appointments. LocalMein is an intermediary. Each shop is responsible for what it offers, its prices, quality, delivery and conduct.

Your account

• You must be 18 or older and sign in with a Google account you control.
• Keep your details accurate, and keep your device and Google account secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• One person, one account. Do not impersonate anyone.

Buying and booking

• An order or booking is a request to the shop. It is confirmed only when the shop accepts it.
• Prices, offers, availability and delivery charges are set by the shop and shown before you place the order.
• You pay the shop directly in cash or UPI, including any advance the shop asks for. Payment terms are between you and the shop.
• For product orders, a handover code confirms you received your items. Share it only when you have them.
• Cancellation and rescheduling follow the options shown in the app and the shop's stated policy.

Selling on LocalMein

• Listing your shop is free. You can switch to My shop from the same account.
• Your storefront is public. Only list what you actually offer, at the price you will charge, with photos you have the right to use.
• You are responsible for any licences, registrations (for example FSSAI for food), taxes and laws that apply to your business.
• Respond to orders and bookings promptly and honour what you accept. Reliability stats shown on your storefront reflect this.
• Use customer details only to fulfil that order or booking. Do not add buyers to marketing lists without their consent.
• The verified-phone badge confirms you control the number shown. It is not an endorsement by LocalMein.

Paid Nearby placements

Shops may pay to show an offer on the Nearby feed for a chosen period. Prices are shown in the app before you pay. A placement starts once we confirm payment. Placements are not refundable once they have started running, except where the law requires it or the placement did not run because of a fault on our side.

Your content

You keep ownership of the photos, listings and reviews you post. You give LocalMein a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, resize and share that content to run and promote the Service, for example showing your storefront when someone opens your link. This ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already shared by others or kept as required by law.

Things not to do

• List illegal, counterfeit, dangerous or age-restricted goods or services.
• Post fake, paid-for or retaliatory reviews, or review your own shop.
• Harass, threaten or discriminate against anyone.
• Spam, scrape the Service, or try to break, overload or reverse-engineer it.
• Upload content that infringes someone else's rights or is obscene or misleading.

You can report a shop or content from the app or by writing to us. We may remove content that breaks these terms.

Problems with an order

Try to resolve issues with the shop first. If an order is marked complete but you did not receive it, raise a dispute in the app. We will review the order record, handover code and photos, and may restrict a shop's or buyer's account. Because payment goes directly to the shop, LocalMein cannot issue refunds itself, but we will help where we can.

Our responsibility

We work to keep the Service available and accurate, but provide it "as is". To the extent the law allows, LocalMein is not liable for the products, services, conduct or payments of shops or buyers, or for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other laws that cannot be excluded.

Suspension and closing

You can stop using LocalMein and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put other users at risk. Where reasonable, we will tell you why.

Law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. We may update them; the date at the top will change, and we will tell you in the app about significant changes before they take effect. Questions:localmein108@gmail.com.
